Hello, everyone, and welcome.

My name is Tracy Teuscher.

I am a certified ecotherapist and naturalist, a conservation educator, and a trained energy healer with an MS in Environmental Studies.

As an ecotherapist, I help you create a personalized, nature-centered wellness practice tailored to your needs, access, abilities, and personal geography. Whether you’re just getting started with nature-based wellness or expanding your practice to include forest bathing, creative expression, personalized rituals, or other ecotherapy modalities, I will provide the guidance you need to reduce anxiety, restore your connection to the Earth, and reclaim resilience.

My work is guided by extensive study of scientific research and traditional (Indigenous) ecological knowledge and wisdom, as well as intuitive guidance, wilderness rites of passage, ancestral healing, and empathic gifts.

We can meet virtually or in person to create your personalized practice, depending on your location. You can also join a small-group experience.

Let’s get started to help you experience greater health, hope, and happiness.
All services are donation-based.

Forest Bathing

I offer personalized virtual and in-person coaching in forest bathing, as well as guided small-group forest bathing
experiences in Ohio.

You can develop a personalized practice to experience the phenomenal, lasting benefits of forest bathing, also called forest therapy or shinrin yoku.

How Forest Bathing Works

Our Sacred Relationship with the Trees

Trees have lived on Earth for about 385 million years. Humans have been evolving for about 7 million years, yet only about 300,000 years as Homo sapiens (Miyazaki, 2018). Because of our co-evolution with trees, our olfactory system includes receptors in the nasal cavity, bronchial tubes, and small intestine that allow humans to detect tree and forest aromas that other beings cannot (Selhub & Logan, 2012). The human intranasal pathway is a direct pathway to the brain for a wide array of these healing substances, including phytoncides.

One tree of a single species can release several dozen of these aromatic substances, which work synergistically to regulate and strengthen human systems, including the limbic system, which governs emotion (Miyazaki, 2018; Selhub & Logan, 2012). These gorgeous healing substances have been found to regulate blood pressure, balance hormones, reduce stress and anxiety, expedite healing, reduce pain, enhance immune system response, and even regulate sleep cycles (Selhub & Logan, 2012).

This means that forest bathing reduces anxiety, regulates our body’s systems, restores cognitive function, enhances immune system function, and restores a sense of wellbeing.
